Career Coaching
You work hard. You do your best. And yet something doesn't feel right.
Maybe you feel empty at the end of the day, or you notice that work costs you energy instead of giving it. Maybe you want to move in a different direction, but don't know where to start. Or you do know, but haven't quite found the courage to take that step.
You are in the right place.
I am Lilianne de Vlieger, career coach and counsellor. I guide people who are stuck in their career back to work that truly fits — their values, their talents, and the way they want to show up in the world. Fully online, across the Netherlands and Belgium, personal and tailored to you.

Does this sound familiar?
- You go to work every morning with reluctance
- You feel undervalued or invisible
- You are always tired, even after a weekend of rest
- You want more energy and fulfilment from your work, but don't know how
- You no longer know what you want, but you know this isn't it
- You dream of a career change, but don't know how to make it happen
You are not alone. And it doesn't have to stay this way.
I know the jobmarket from the inside
Before I became a coach, I worked in HR for over twenty years. I conducted hundreds of conversations, guided selection processes, and watched people grow and develop — but also saw them get stuck in roles that simply didn't suit them. During those years I supported people in their development, helped them think about healthy working, and was there when things got hard.
What those years also taught me is that I am highly sensitive person myself. I know from personal experience what it feels like to work in an environment that doesn't fit. How you adapt, make yourself smaller, or become exhausted because everything hits so hard. How you function on the outside while slowly running empty on the inside.

Until it stopped in 2012. I had a severe burn-out and could do nothing. Truly nothing. Days passed while I stared out of the window. But I found my way back — not by trying harder, but by returning to myself. To what I truly needed, what suited me, and what made me feel alive again.
I know that road from the inside. And that is exactly why I do what I do now.
That combination — twenty years of HR experience, lived expertise, and personal coaching — makes my guidance different. You gain not only insight into yourself, but also concrete tools for navigating the job market. I know how organisations think, what managers look for, and how you can present yourself in a way that truly fits who you are.
Sensitivity as a strength
Many of my clients are people who feel deeply, think a lot, and long for meaning in their work. They perceive more than others, have a sharp sense of fairness and connection, and get stuck in environments that leave no room for that.
If you recognise yourself in that: your sensitivity is not a weakness. It is precisely what makes you valuable. Together we look at how to use it rather than hide it.
What makes career coaching different from just advice?
- Greater self-awareness You gain a clear view of your talents, motivations, and pitfalls. This allows you to make more conscious choices about work that truly suits you, and to better explain why you take certain steps.
- A clear career plan Together we translate your wishes into a concrete and achievable action plan. You know which steps to take and when, and which choices come with them.
- A stronger application profile We sharpen your CV, LinkedIn profile, and cover letters so that employers see at a glance what you have to offer and what you stand for.
- More confidence in your choices Through exercises and reflection you experience that you do have influence over your career. That brings calm, confidence, and the courage to make decisions.
- A better work-life balance You explore what you need to work healthily and with enjoyment, and learn to set boundaries that fit your situation.
